Specialty Areas: Dr. Matt Ulmer serves as the Alabama Cooperative Extension System’s state specialist for Community Resource Development. Working alongside County Extension Coordinators and Regional Extension Agents, Dr. Ulmer provides statewide programmatic leadership and drives strategic initiatives and programming to help individuals, families, and communities grow and thrive. Dr. Ulmer’s areas of focus include workforce development, tourism, community leadership and civic engagement, and improving quality of life in Alabama communities.
