Spot treatments of soil applied herbicides for woody plant control can be a very effective method for many hard to kill species. However, it is easy to misuse them and cause significant non target injury. This webinar will teach you what you need to know regarding the use and recommendation of soil applied herbicides such as tebuthiuron (Spike 80DF) and hexazinone (Velpar L) in pastures. Controlling Woody Plants in Pastures and Hayfields - June 19th at 10:00 A.M. CDT

In summer, woody plants such as Chinese tallowtree, green ash, common persimmon, and Cherokee rose can overwhelm pastures. Additionally, woody vines are often very difficult to control in hayfields.
